I think the confusion (and it might be me that's confused) I think the OP has a cord that he takes out of a bay to plug into a receptacle on the outside of his RV and then plug into the pedestal/house, and he wants to make a short/light weight cord just for use at his house to keep his batteries charged without always having to pull out and connect his big cord.
Most of us have the cord permanently attached in a bay and would just use a short, readily available, extension cord and the adapters left on the end of our big cord, but I think he wants to make a cord with a 15A male plug and a female plug on the other end that fits his RV receptacle.
Or am I all messegd up?
You had it spot on! I failed to mention the twist lock connection on the coach and I think that's where everyone was messed up. My bad!
