Six new Michelins MS2

Today I bought the extra 2 tires to complete the new set all around. The spare had never been rotated so I saved one of the 2008 tires and the guys put it on the wheel. I probably won't rotate it with the 2014 tires either.
Can't believe how good it feels to have all new tires, four of them courtesy of a company you CAN depend on. In 2010 the two other tires were only 2 years old, now at 6 I felt it was good to have the rubber all the same age. (except for the spare.)
They had a bit of trouble getting the spare off the mounting plate. In fact the plate came a bit loose so I'll have to do a repair before we remount.
The Discount Tire store here in Arvada put in all metal stems too.
The Firestone spare looked spanking new but of course at 12 years old, it probably was not reliable enough even for a spare.
Happy Camper.

I'm lucky I didn't have to wait more than a week for the new ones I guess they are hard to get in some places. Getting new tires thrown into the bargain on that new RV is fantastic!
I will check the pressures before we go out this weekend. Ours are supposed to be 65 and 60 I think. Front and rear are a little different. Once I worked it out with the weight and the Michelin chart and the door values were right on. So I guess Winnebago knows what it is talking about. 🙂

With 3,000 miles on the new M/S 2's I stopped in Harrisburg PA at the local Michelin dealer and had them check all 6. A couple took a pound or two and we are back running 55 psi all around. The tires give a very smooth ride but the potholes up here sure can rattle your teeth. DC, MD and PA have the worst roads, including the interstates we have ever encountered. :E

I think I got lucky too . I bought a used 2003 Minnie 24F last week. It appears that all 6 tires are being recalled. Will check the spare tire tomorrow . Hope that will make it 7 🙂

I still have weeks to go for mine. But I got a pair of MS2s for another vehicle today. The DOT date is 08 14; now that is fresh from the factory!
