Slide out is not working ???

03 Fleetwood Revolution, the bedroom slide out is not sliding out.

Thought it might be the house batteries were bad / low voltage.

The front slide out is working fine.

Checked fuses and they are not shorted out and seem to be good.

The coach was plugged into 30 Amp service and I also had the generator running.

Thanks in advance with any thoughts and input.
  • Our '06 Phaeton had the gearhead on the bedroom slide out motor from Power Gear blow a part about 6 years ago. Could hear it click, but no action.
  • Obvioudly you have put this slide in and out many times. If perhaps anything different is going on today start there. Did you run the others out at same time as this one didn’t work. On my gas they operate off the chassis battery so the engine must run as they do suck a lot of juice. Retrace your steps and then go from there.

I'm assuming POWERGEAR electric, so disconnect the wires at the motor and see if there's power there, as you didn't give any particulars with it grunting, screaming or uttering not a word.
If no power, you'll need to run an external lead and see if it'll move that way. Reverse the leads, if wrong direction.
Then go for the controller board and you might find a fuse on it, if you haven't checked, already. In fact, you could have a bad controller.
  • I don't know the configuration of your coach, but on my Discovery there is a shear bolts on the Power Gear gear box that connects to the slide.
