I had the same thing happen on our Allegro Bus. On ours, there are 3 solenoids in the right rear compartment above the inverter. When the slide out rocker switch is pushed it supposedly connects the middle solenoid to the third one, and that powers the slides.
The middle solenoid wasn't connecting power to the third, so I took one end of the cable wire on the middle solenoid and connected it directly to the 3rd one. The slides worked fine after doing that, but eventually I bought a new solenoid and connected it as original.
I don't know which Tiffin you have, but yours might have a similar set up.
