It really depends on what you like most. As noted, Charleston has a lot of history...the Battery, historic homes, carriage tours, Patriot's Point with retired Navy ships (including the Yorktown), market, great seafood and a really nice RV park at James Island County Park.
Myrtle Beach is more than just the beach and golf. Great live shows, shopping, Brookgreen Gardens, great seafood, really nice wide beaches. We also go to Ocean Lakes most every April and there are no crowds and the traffic is fairly light. Charleston is a day trip from Ocean Lakes.
Split the time....half at MB and half at Charleston. That is why you have wheels on that thing :B
