Our 20 footer has one outside compartment that holds the lawn chairs, ground sheet, levelling blocks, hose, jack and some tools - always full. Another one sometimes holds two inflatable toy kayaks, sometimes firewood.
When we bought it I was sure I would need a bumper mounted storage box and even bought a sheet of puck board to make it. But we found the two of us didn't need any more stuff. A couple of inside cupboards are usually empty. After years of stuffing things into a van and pop up, we like the lack of stuff and all the searching that goes with it.
