Synthetic Oil - Do you use it in Cummins Engine?

Anyone did switched to synthetic oil? I wonder if there is any bad effect to switching to synthetic oil on a 2003 Cummins. My engine book says we can do it. I would like to put 10W40 year long. It ...

It does the same on my Ford Diesel 6.0. The problem on this engine is with dirty injector which operates with oil. If you use normal oil, it will get sticky. If you use T6 Rotella synth., the injectors stays cleaner and will last much longer.
