- wgriswoldExplorerHere is a recipe for homemade Tilex. One cup bleach, three cups water, one tablespoon hand dish-washing soap. Use as directed above.
- the_bear_IIExplorerI don't know if you have an automatic awning or a manual. Foe my manual awning I deploy the awning completely and lock it down. Then I disconnect the awning down tubes from the latches at bottom of my RV (Note: These Down tubes carry a lot of weight so be ready for it). I slide the down tubes under my RV. This flattens the awning on to the side of the RV and makes it easy to clean the top side of the awning....
I only use water and a soft long handle brush attached to my hose to clean off the dirt. For any spots I use simple green spray and srub with the brush. Rinse and dry then raise the down rubes back up in to the latches.
Then clean the bottom side of the awning. - hohenwald48ExplorerScrubbing Bubbles works great.

I use Tilex Mold/Mildew Spray cleaner
Spray it liberally along the roller back/forth as someone slowly retracts it.
Wet top closes against bottom as it rolls up
Sit back, enjoy a beverage---15-30 minutes---unroll & Rinse thoroughly - John_WayneExplorer IIBuy some awning cleaner spray it on the top roll the awning up let it sit for 15 min. unroll and rinse.
