I was looking up Bridgestone tires and it seems that at least in Load Range E, the V-Steel has folded into the Duravis lineup. Our previous owner bought a pair of B'Stones for the front in one year then four for the rear the next year. The fronts say V-Steel and the rears say Duravis. All are a Rib type in my case.
I can see where owners of smaller coaches and especially 4x4's might want a traction tire. Ribs, however, have more desire to track straight, and this can be a big help on longer Class C's, particularly on stretched Ford chassis. Where larger tires (like 19.5 and 22.5, some tire shops choose to put "steer axle" tires on every position on RV's to try and help them track better. The "steer" designation doesn't exist in 16". Rib is the closest.
EDIT: We need to make sure that the 16's we're looking at ARE Load Range E (or even D) because some, even in our exact size, are SUV tires and don't have the Load Range and Inflation Pressure we need. Buyer Look Carefully!
