Tire Pressure Monitoring System

I purchased a tire minder tpms from Camping World and am wondering if anyone can help me with the valve stem extensions. The dual rear wheels will need extenders for certain and maybe the front as well. For the duals I've been told to use solid pipe only because the braided will eventually leak. Has anyone experienced this? If I'm to use solid it looks like I will need to be an angle pipe first and then also an extender for both inside wheels. Has anyone done this? If so can you share your thoughts on what has worked for you? It seems like a lot of add ons to the tire valve stem which will be spinning at 65 mph and this has me worried. As always thanks to everyone for their thoughtful advice.

Thanks everyone for your helpful comments and the link. I've decided to go with the ones in the link and am talking to a tire shop now. I'll post how it goes.

10forty2 has it right, order the new valve stems and have them installed at a tire dealer. End of problems, the senders will fit perfectly and no problems with them flopping around.

I got rid of my braided extenders due to them leaking. Two different sets and it didn't matter how tight they were, they always leaked. Every....single....time I checked pressures with the braided extenders, I had to adjust the pressure before flight. With the TPMS, half the time the sensors wouldn't read or read erroneously. I opted for solid valve stems installed on my rims with no extenders like these:

Dually Valve Stems

Checked my pressures this morning before we head out and the tires are still holding at what I set them at before I put it in storage for the winter.

When we got the MH, the previous owners had put on extensions. One of the braided hoses failed (it was completely gone) but luckily did not deflate the tire as the valve depressor piece left with the hose. 3 of the other 45 degree? extensions developed leaks. I removed all the extensions and had the local tire shop install the Borg long valve stems. No more worries about leaky extensions. Tire shop only charges $25 per tire to install the new valve stems.

BTW, the batteries in the Tire Minder sensors only seem to last about 9 - 10 months. First winter had one leak and ruin sensor. Now I pull the batteries when the unit goes to storage. Put new ones in in the spring and good for season. Tire Minder replaced the sensor for free even though was not their fault. Good company.

The rig had the braided type when we bought it but I just changed them out because I've always used Borg stainless extenders. I use the steel extenders on all 6 tires. Just had the shop put the sensors and extenders on and spin balance them. no problem..

12 years using braided extensions on the rear duals, we never had a leak on our Phaeton. Ours are US made though and I don't know if they are still available.
