Tires in storage

There are many myths about Concrete and automotive things. Now. many of these used to be true say 60 years ago but there have been major improvements in both tires and batteries and concrete for that matter.

IT won't hurt to park on a barrier.. Lynx Levers would be my choice since you need 'em anyway. but wood, Horse stall pads.. Or just park on the concrete.

Your tires, barring injury or under inflation, or over inflation or other problems shoudl last about 7-10 years. perhaps a bit less if they spend a long time in storage (Storage is bad for the tires no matter what they are on Suspended them in air it's bad for 'em. they like to be rollign, rolling, rolling down teh highway).

Where we store the concrete is coated. Concrete doesn't weather that well uncoated over time.
It is urethane type coating I believe. Kind of dark and not that pretty.
Tires don't touch concrete which can wick oils out of tires and hold moisture, that degrades tires over a long time too.
There are several durable as iron coatings available from Lowes and Home Depot etc. Water based or oil based. Ours at the houss is kind o a gray brown.
Even stored indoors concrete can wick oils out and hold moisture in. So coat it.

I do the same.

And, if storing for a long time, Michelin recommends inflating to max on sidewall if tire/wheel.

Flat spotting will be the same for all flat surfaces.
Take the weight off if you have a concern.

Mine is on concrete and the only concern I can see, is with flat spots over time and the reason why the jacks are always down.

When we talk of storing an RV, are you speaking long term or just when not in use! My coach rarely sits longer than 2 weeks without being moved and does sit on concrete. Should I consider putting something under my tires for this short of time ? just wondering !

tires start to rot the day there built, but for storage,long term , I,d put a rubber matt under them ,why? just because I wanted too. or jack it up.
