Using jacks when parking/storing RV

Hi all!

This is my first RV with hydraulic jacks (any jacks for that matter) and I was wondering if it is wise to put the jacks down when the unit is in storage. My thinking is that it takes some of the weight off of the suspension...but I'm not sure if it is necessary or advisable. Also not sure if it's good for the hydraulics to be in that position for extended periods of time. Any advice from the community is appreciated.
