Valve lash Set again

Question

I just set the valve lash on my B5.9 Cummins. It takes about an hour after I get everything opened up to access the motor. Cummins recommends every 24,00 on my old mechanical B motor. It was more like 45,000 for me on this adjustment. So just a reminder to check you manual and set the Valves at the proper intervals. BTW as in the past very little adjustment needed on mine but I tweaked them a bit nothing out more than .002 from factory specs. Now off to the rest of the spring cleaning and getting ready. I am taking the stripes off this year and I think I will paint them on.

Yup, came on Caterpillar engines-- initial adjustment around 30,000 miles. Then every 100,000.I do mine a little more frequently-- like them right to specs.

Good job on getting it done. Had mine done here at home, right around  25k miles, and they were very close. I'm at 55k now, so I should still be good for a while.
