Has anyone tried to remove the clear vinyl mask from the front of a motorhome. Mine has become very discolored. I have tried a heat gun but the progress is extremely slow. Any suggestions.

I have said it many times in this forum, do not spend money on the clear vinyl mask on motorhomes or cars/trucks, it will cost you more over time, it will turn yellow/brown from to much sun or mildew from to much moisture, deal with rock chips with touch up paint..

Removing the mask will destroy the paint, I know this from others experience here in Vegas, I know a guy that had this put on a expensive sports car when it 1st came out by 3-M, he parked it outside at work in sun everyday, yes it turned yellow and he paid a ton to have it removed and roof of car repainted to match, its not worth the cost, trust me...

Sorry. It took us 2 people and 2 whole days of sore fingers. We left an 18" strip across the bottom. Heat gun, soften the film, scrape it off with plastic paint scraper, use Goo Gone to remove the adhesive residue. Again, lots of rubbing to get it off.
Then we found someone who would take off the remaining 18" and repaint the front of the coach. Knowing what we know now, we would have gladly paid what we were quoted to have it removed by someone else!! Mike's Custom Paint in Bremen Indiana removed the last 18" and repainted the front. Did a great job for reasonable price.

Boy. I've seen this question at least 50 times.

Yes, there are many who have removed them. Easy? No. Most talk of days of work, ending with "I'll never put another mask on my RV again!"
My advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.
