- derosacampExplorerI use Simple Green, spray on, wipe off.
- avanExplorerMine is 30' and the wash charge is usually $35-40. Complete RainX, which I would recommend, is another $7 and tire dressing is $6. That has also been the price range for other truck washes as well. My only complaint is there usually is no way out except through their wash bldg so before pulling in, drive past on a nearby road to see what all is waiting to get into the bays. Typical truck wash takes about 20 minutes so if there are trucks just starting to get washed in the bays and another truck waiting to get in, you are probably at about an hour before you're done.
- vik1Explorer75$ for the must for a 30ft
- dedmistonModeratorI just found this thread through Search.
How much does Blue Beacon charge? We have a 44.5' fifth wheel and there are two Blue Beacon locations within an hour of us.
Thanks! - kwplot34ExplorerBlue Beacon. they do a great job motor home is very clean when they are done.
- avanExplorerA Blue Beacon wash, complete Rain X and tire dressing got a month's worth of traveling dirt, love bugs and misc. splats off leaving the rig looking like new. And I'm not tired! Or sore!
- vik1ExplorerWe did wash ours in the end of our trip by Blue Beacon it was perfect
- CaptjackExplorerWe use the dry wash and wax system from Aero Cosmetics. It works well for most purposes. After a 10K trip last year I took our Lazy Daze thru a local truck wash then touched it up at home. I have a "low" pressure wash system at home which I will use a few times a year. With the wash/wax polymer product on the rig's aircraft paint system it looks great and touches up easily.
- rekoj71ExplorerYes some places don't want any hoses to be sprayed on the RV, and some will allow at least a bucket for washing. I can regularly find the park that will allow the bucket method, so for a easy wash I use 2 buckets. One for wash/soap water and the other for rinse water. I have a brush that I will scrub a small section with usually not bigger than about 6 feet, and since that area will be still wet I then shake out the brush and switch the brush to the rinse bucket and use it to put clean water over the soaped sections to rinse it. It gets pretty clean this way even though I'm not using a hose to spray the RV. I go through about 5 buckets of rinse water this way.
- mgirardoExplorerWhen we camp seasonally, we usually wash the entire motorhome once and wash the cab over as needed. Not all campgrounds allow washing an RV on site, most that we visit don't allow it. Fortunately, our seasonal campground does. If I needed a wash that bad on a short term camping trip, I'd look for a truck wash or a car wash with tall bays.
