"dsisemore1".....Your water pump is controlled by a latching controller. Your water pump is connected to the controller along with the 12 volt power for the pump. All the switches in your coach are then connected to the controller. A controller is used to save on wiring and you can literally attach 100 switches to it and it doesn't care. If you've noticed, all of your switches are momentary. That means when you press one, it springs back. When you push one of your switches, it momentarily connects the wire going into the switch to ground. Every time the controller sees a switch connect to ground, it either turns on the pump or turns off the pump.
Here is what the controller looks like:
Intellitec There are other brands, but they look alike. They're about the size of an open matchbook.
With all that said, the controller is USUALLY located near the water pump (within 12"-24", in the wet bay. You can test to see if you have 12 volt power to controller, if you do, the controller is probably bad. If you don't, you have a 12 volt power issue. On my last coach the controller lasted 10 years and as far as I know, it's still working. On my new coach, the controller failed after 9 months. It was an off brand, so I replaced it with an Intellitec model. It was a direct replacement.
