Greetings,On my 1995 Tioga, my water pump stopped pumping water. I can hear the motor running, but no water from the faucets. I have cleaned out the filter, and don't seem to have any leaks anywhere, it's as if it is not building any pressure. I unscrewed the filter clear cup-like housing while the motor was on and water did not spray out, however, the filter is before the pump, so maybe that doesn't indicate anything.It stopped working one weekend, it was working and then a couple of hours later, it was not. The motor staying on constantly.Any suggestions,please?

I believe water should have come out when you took the filter cup off. The pump is not getting water. I think you have a clog between the holding tank and the pump?Max

Thanks for your reply, I will check that. It is a very short piece of hose between the tank and the filter, so it should be easy to see.

Thanks for the advice, from the filter back, there is just one length of tubing, and the fitting that goes on the tank, so I am thinking it should be simple. BTW, on the water inlet on the outside of the camper,behind the little door,there is what looks to be a vent/screen about the size of pea,what is this for?and does it have any affect on pressure?

The small vent is just that. Its a vent to allow air to come out of water tank while filling. I had a problem once where my pump was not getting water, there is a small screen on the fitting inside the tank that was clogged . Cleaned it and all was good.

I am having a similar problem. Turn the pump on and water comes out the city water inlet with no pressure inside the motor home. When I hookup the city water everything inside works fine. It seems like all the lines are fine since everything works with city water hookup. Any suggestions?

There is a check valve inside the city water connection. When pump runs it should be closed.
They are a cheapo plastic junk......plunger/spring/o-ring.
O-ring slips off
plunger hangs up
falls apart.

With pump off and pressure relieved you can try to reset by removing screen/washer then push plunger in and see if it pushes back out closing.

Usually need to replace city water connection assemble.

In mean time you can get a 3/4" pvc plug and screw it in or get a garden hose shut off valve and screw it on

That sure sounds like the solution. I recently pulled the old screen out and put a 90 degree fitting on. Problem has occurred since I made this change. I will give it a try.

I had similar issue last year with mine--- the pump ran but did not build pressure; after checking all the lines for clogs/leaks I called the repair shop- the diagnosis: pump went bad. Easy fix and approximately $100. No problems since.
