Gas class A, upper end, 32-36'. I like the Newmar Baystar and the Tiffin Open Road Allegro. I haven't been in either of them but would like to know if there is anything out there similar? (I miss RV shows!!!)
I know many on here will frown on this because it's made by Thor but we really like our Miramar. It is basically the same thing as a Challenger, but the models are a bit smaller (ours is a 37'). The Miramar's are probably more mid level but we were set on getting a Baystar until we saw the Miramar at a local RV show. Have had it 4 years and love it.
Be sure to look at the construction methods of each. They all look good when they're new, look under the shiny new to see which one should stand the test of time best.

Thanks I will check out the Coachmen Encore, no bunks needed though (nor a need to sleep or sit 8+ people ((as most seem to offer)), just me and the dog! Queen bed, larger than average kitchen space, good size washroom, desk/chairs instead of dinette
Depends on the floorplan. I for one think the new Coachmen Encore line of three coaches is one of the best out there. Their combination of quality and innovation is outstanding. I put my money where my mouth is and bought the 375RB. But I looked at all the coaches mentioned here so far for a bunk coach. IMHO Encore wins in the bunk house coach going away!
