Where is the turn signal flasher

1996 Ford F53 chassis, 460"
1997 Fleetwood BOUNDER
  • Good Job! Keep an eye on that relay to make sure it doesn't overheat those spade connections again.

  • Installed new flasher turn signal relay last night
    Signals are working like new
  • i cleaned up the socket, and the contacts, checked for power 'ok got power'

still need to run to the auto parts store for the new blinker relay

right now, i have manual operate turn signals, they blink when i move the turn signal lever, i put in a jumper wire across the (2) points where the flasher/relay plugs in
moving the lever on/off, for left or right, flashes the turn signal for that side
  • By the way, I was just thinking about turning signals. I do not like their brightness. Stumbled upon this subject and remembered. Thank)

  • being 'smashed up' was the result of using channel locks and a screw driver to pry it out of the socket
  • Ok found it
Dash cluster was stuck, even after undoing the safety strap,
finally got it open, flasher was stuck, melted the plastic on the fuse holder tray, just like in the Webb pictures,
    Maybe less damage,
That flasher has a built in Sonalert squealer
Glad to get it out of there, that thing is really Annoying
Will go-to the auto parts store today

Will post pictures, when I get on the laptop
  • Look down around the brake switch for one ( this one is a black in color and square and the other one should be in the fuse box in the dash or at lease that is where ours is.
