They work fine as long as you don't have a lot of wind slapping them around

Or a lot of snow. You will still have to clear snow off of them, if you get snow where you are.

Just be careful when installing or removing. A little wind turns them into a nice parachute. I have used Tyvec covers & they've been great.

If the wind blows where you live, don't even think about it. The least amount flapping will damage your RV. Where I live I see RVs covered by the owners and left in storage in September/October. By November/December they are half uncovered and flapping in the wind not only damaging their unit but the one next to it. By January, the cover is in tatters or even missing completely. Don't care how well fitted or secured they will not hold up under windy conditions.

We cover ours with an Adco cover. It's three seasons old now and is showing no signs of wear despite some very windy conditions. Pad the sharp edges and they will last for years.

Yeah, I understand. My wife calls it my "Man Cave". We actually installed full hookups and made it wide enough to open the slides. My issue was my city annexed us in and no car ports allowed anymore.

Like others, I used the Adco Tyvec models (went through 2) and they did work well. Just make sure you pad the sharp edges as mentioned. My last one tore on the driver side slide awning level that allows the awning to roll in and out.

This is a popular subject. For previous posts search this Forum for `RV cover' and read on and on. We use a Sunshield tarp.

No way I'd swap a covered storage building for an RV cover.

We are very happy with our RV sized carport with walls on 3 sides.
Zoning at the time would not allow me to build another pole barn and the carport is considered a temporary structure so zero addition on tax bill.
