We live in Southern CA . This will be our first trip driving to Wrightwood, CA (Mountain High) tomorrow. How safe it is to drive to Wrightwood? Any precautions ? We have a 24 foot class C. Thanks

As you've likely discovered, there's quite a grade shortly after you exit the freeway.

Thats not a road I would recommend for an RV of any size with the crazy commuters making the Palmdale run during the week, and the rice rocket bikers on the weekends.

Weather looks good the next few days. There has been recent rain and snow in the area. Keep an eye out for rockfall or icy patches on the road, especially first thing in morning. Highway itself is easy, especially from the Cajon Pass area.

There are 3 or 4 ways to get to Wrightwood. The easiest is from Hwy 15, but you can get there from Angeles Crest Highway, a long and scenic route, or from the desert (hwy 138). You might consider Angeles Crest if you have never been. There are some hills, of course, but I have driven it with cars and motorcycles often. Shouldn't be too difficult.

You shouldn't have any issues at all getting up there, but possibly parking issues depending on the ski crowd.
