Xantrex Freedom comb. Inverter 81-2010-10 problems

My inverter is not putting out, I think the wattage is too low to charge the batteries after 3 day plug in at the site the display shows half charged. How do you check the inverter? I have a 2004 Xan...

Digital volt meter (start at under $10). Red lead to positive terminal of battery, black lead to negative terminal of battery.

If charger section is working, battery voltage will be 13+ VDC. Be sure you are checking the HOUSE battery bank, as on many coaches, the chassis batteries are not charged by the inverter/charger.
