I have been reluctant to set mine on a picnic table and use it. Seems like it could scorch the wood beneath it, especially if I cook at higher then smoking temps (I know heat travels up). Do you have a concern that way ? Do you think that laying down a layer of aluminum foil would reflect enough heat to matter ? Maybe use something else ?
Thanks.
What they gave us at Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone was a piece of foil backed insulation ( like you get at HomeDepot for your house walls) about 2ftx2ft to put under our grill to prevent scorching their tables. It was a requirement per their rule sheet. - GoPackGoExplorerI have been reluctant to set mine on a picnic table and use it. How did you attach them ? Or do you just set the springs inside them ?
The springs are about 1/4" shorter than the coupling. I just set the legs in the coupling on a picnic bench. - Us_out_WestExplorerNice Dave.
Now I need your review of how this smoker/grill does.
Looking forward to it. - GoPackGoExplorerHow did you attach them ? Or do you just set the springs inside them ?
- dons2346ExplorerI don't like the springs either. Thanks for the idea
