A question about syncing
I have a PC desktop, Windows 7, IE 10 and a Laptop, Windows Vista, IE 10. I recently had to reformat the desktop and lost all my favorites (over 100+ websites):M even though I "saved" them on the Recovery. They were never on my laptop as I only use that when camping.
I also have an iPod Touch and iPad mini that do have the favorites on them...I guess they synced with my desktop before the reformat.
Last week while camping I hooked the iPad to the Laptop via USB to charge it. Apparently it synced and all my favorites were added to the laptop (which never had the favorites before).
I thought that I would try this on the recently formatted desktop and see if the same thing would happen but it did not.
I should also say that I have iTunes and iCloud installed on ALL PC's and iPod/iPad's. I have it set to open iTunes when I plug in device via USB but I only sync manually.
Now the question...Why did it sync my favorites to my laptop but not my desktop which is where I really need them? Does anyone know how to sync what is on the iPad to the PC and not the other way around, if it can be done?
This has me stumped so any help will be greatly appreciated.
