- holstein13ExplorerThanks Robin for the update. I have both ATT and Verizon. This year on our trip to California, every time I lost my ATT signal, I'd check my Verizon phone and every time I noticed a loss of the Verizon signal, I'd check the AT&T phone.
So far, they seem to be in lock step with each other. If one goes out, so goes the other. I'll know more at the end of the year after we've traveled the Northeast and Northwest.
But my initial impressions are that Verizon may not have the claim on the superior network over AT&T. - Robin1953Explorer

They have to react somehow - maybe not a like-for-like offer, but data is a huge sticking point with customers. Postpaid subscribers are gold and the market is saturated. It's almost a 0-sum game now - there are no new subscribers, just those moving from carrier to carrier (slight exaggeration, but that's where it's headed).
Update on Verizon - whistlebritchesExplorerT-Mobile is letting them rollover for a year, not just a month!

T-Mobile is doing it now, too. When one of the Big 3 do it, all the others follow suit. It's dog-eat-dog in the mobile industry. - wa8yxmExplorer IIIFollowing on T-Mobile's lead I see, T-Mobile started up to 10 Gigs of "Data Stash" on Jan 1 this year,, What this means is this: If I only use 2 Gigs then 5 get "Stashed" next month if I use six Gigs, (the five plus 1) six get stashed (My plan is 7 Gig high Speed and unlimited 3G or less). If i use less than my Stash, then all 7 Gigs go into the stash up to 10 Gigs total,
And they give me 10 gigs just for fun to start with.. Since on a busy month I barely break six.. I should never run out of data.
(And where I am now I am doing good to use 2 gig, You see, here at Cathead Creek I have unlimited NO COVERAGE (park wi-fi is great though). Phone can use Wi-Fi for calls or data. - turbojimmyExplorerT-Mobile is doing it now, too. When one of the Big 3 do it, all the others follow suit. It's dog-eat-dog in the mobile industry.
