Dome Magic on a Black Dome

We have a black Winegard Road Trip Mission. Was looking at applying Dome Magic to reduce rain fade. The label says it could discolor dark domes.

Has anyone used Dome Magic on a Black Dome? Does it discolor?

Wax is wax. Any wax should work just fine.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.

Please do not use Rain-X. The label specifically mentions that it is not for use on plastic.
Any wax is good wax. You just want something on the dome that will allow the water to bead up. The signal can get between the rain drops but it is that sheet of water or, even worse, that heavy dew sitting on the dome, that causes rain fade.

i think you could use any wax you like
wax doesn't block RF
rain aka moisture, cause dispersion aka fade
i would probably use RainX the stuff i put on my windshield

It doesn't really discolor the dome but the spray is somewhat white so it's just going to look bad. It really does not do any more than putting a coat of wax on the dome would do and the wax is sooooo much cheaper.

Thanks Bill. I was hoping you would chime in. Is there a better wax that is less likely to block satellite?
