Extra Dish Network vip222k receiver for trailer

Question

When we travel I take my vip222k receiver with me and use it with a portable antenna. I'm tired of unhooking it and rehooking it up in the rv. Can I purchase a vip222k receiver and leave it in the rv all the time and just use the smart card from my house receiver when traveling. I don't want to keep the rv receiver activated all the time but would like to make it easier to use. A smart card swap if possible would make things alot easier. Thanks for any suggestions.
I'm trying to avoid both the extra receiver fee and hook up and unhook.

No , the card and the receiver are "tied" to ea other and won't work.

When I moved receivers I used quality push on cables that made it somewhat easier but it was still a pain and I forgot the remote a couple times. Finally gave up and just paid the 7 bucks a month.

$7 a month is very little to pay for the convenience. At least for me.

You know you can turn that extra receiver on and off on your account so you only pay the $7 for the months you actually use it. You can call or go on line and have the receiver activated and de-activated any time you want.

322 receiver off at the house. 211K on in the RV. 7 bucks off 7 bucks on. Same.
