The Sprint plan worked for me till I got an apartment with cable. Verizon has done this several times. Hook you in with a low cost "Unlimited" plan then WHAM drop the other shoe.

With the merger of Sprint and T-Mobile I suspect Sprint/T-mobile may now be the company with the best coverage.. In my travels this summer I had one spot where I needed to check the map to figure out where to turn.. T-Mobile NO SIGNALE (My phone is T-mobile) so I hooked it to the Sprint My-Fi device and ran a speed stes... the needle only goes up to 100MbPS and sure enough... IT DID That's cable speeds Got my map. made my turn, and got my bad news (Well it is not always good) and that's why I'm not in an apartment but that's a story told in a different thread already.

With the merger of the towers I should not need to cross connect. But I've sent the My-Fi back. Usually I did not get that speed (about half that)
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Can anyone shed more light on the Sprint deal than what FMCA shows? I worked for a company some time ago that had Sprint data for our in truck communications and carrier pigeons were better.

Since Sprint merged with T-mobil are they using their towers? I thought there was a frequency issue (?) between the two companies, didn't pay much attention to it all.

I am mostly in the western states, and had decent coverage and knew where I could get a good signal with AT&T till our love affair went to the toilet and they divorced me. Looking at the coverage map it looks promising, but I've lied by cell carriers before.

I see they you must use their hardware. How many devices can be hooked to it simultaneously? Any options to bring your own?

It might be worth joining if this is one of the perks and cost seems like it is reasonable.

Just so you know, it was not FMCA that did away with the program, it was VZ that decided to not renew the contract.

Yeah... I got an email from FMCA recently. They seem to have replaced the Verizon plan with a Sprint unlimited plan for $49.99.
