I am glad that you are happy with the product. I find it interesting that the only Garmins that give such short notice are the RV760 and Dezl. The other Garmin products give it at 2.5 miles. I recently went through Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Diego and used all four of those products at once. The information given by the Ram and 2460 is much better. It is obvious from your comments that I have not described the inadequacy in such a way that you can comprehend my point. The RV760 & Dezl have many good points but have room for improvement.
I think you are overthinking this. I don't disagree that minor software changes may improve the RV 760,However the unit will steer you to your destination without any issues. The distance to turn info is still displayed in the right hand corner.
Bottom line is I am not getting lost or missing turns because the Garmin is not giving me vital info soon enough. - Bucky_BadgerExplorer

So traveling through large busy cities using 4 products at once. No wonder you are confused. :B - hypoxiaExplorerI am glad that you are happy with the product. - cleo43ExplorerSlow responses of Garmin are deal breaker for me. That's why I prefer Tomtom.
- docjExplorerI have a Nuvi 465T and 765 both of which do exactly what the OP describes and we've never had a problem with using them. When the "next exit" information is displayed at the top of the screen, touch the bar and it will provide details such as the "picture" of the exit. We're ~65 feet long with our toad and I've driven through Houston, Salt Lake, Denver and several other major cities.
- LantleyNomadI agree with fpresto, The RV 760 gives me all the info I need when I need it

Haha, you have travelled in big cities in heavy traffic and multiple exits within a very short distance, haven't you?? I am guessing you don't have a Dezl or RV760?
While I can't speak for Jack_Diane_Freedom, I own a RV 760 and had the Rand McNally, which I gave up due to the dim display, and have driven in large cities, Washington, New York and Boston and others towing my 5th wheel and driving an over the road rig and I fail to see your problem. As Jack said, in the corner it tells you the next turn and the distance to the turn so you already know if it is left or right then it begins to let you know at .8 mile to turn and for most intersections, especially in or near a city, it shows you a picture of the turn. What more do you need? If you are not paying attention it doesn't matter how far away it tells you to turn. - hypoxiaExplorer

In the top left corner of the screen it should give you the distance to the next turn and a little arrow showing which way. Just move over earlier. You can tell from this which lane you should be in. It is either a right exit or a left exit.

- Rocky2ExplorerHow does the lane assist warning compare to the Rand McNally? Still trying to decide which would work better for me.
