I'm hoping someone on here can help me. i just purchased a new Landmark Newport that has three TVs(all HD capable). i had the dealer install a Winegard 4000T in motion satellite and supplied him with a new Directv receiver. he is telling me there is no way to get directive programming to all three TV sets, even if its the same programming. I also then find out that there is no HD capability with Directv..can someone confirm this is accurate?

my unit is parked in an RV park which has cable supplied to my lot. based upon what I'm being told , I'm having to be ok with standard programming on my main living room 42" TV which has a terrible picture. i hooked up the cable form the park to my unit thinking i could at least get these channels to the other two TVs but for some reason when i auto search for channels, it only shows up 2-3 channels and then for some reason they seem to disappear overnight .

so here's my questions. is there anyway to get HD programing with Directv and my in motion winegard satellite? and is only standard is available, is there any way to pipe it over to the other two TVs in my rig..my receiver only has hdmi output and my rig is wired with coax?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm a sports fanatic and not having access to HD is killing me!!!

Look forward to hearing from anyone who has experience with this type of setup! Thank you

If you want to display the same programming an all 3 TVs you can use an AV to RF converter.

My DirecTV receiver has AV output that I feed into an AV to RF converter and feed the RF output to the bedroom TV. Cheap, simple and works.

the tv amp is connected to one of your tvs. it is usually in the bedroom. just follow the coax cable. the power supply will also have a 12 volt charge.

there is a little button, lite up the power is on, no lite, it is off and you can do cable and sat.

Really appreciate the great info. no on explained to me that Directv HD was only available with the trav'ler so that was indeed my first miss. AS for the receiver, i ordered a new HD capable reciever from Directv and the one they sent me only has an HDMI connection and no coax out so given that i can't get HD programming with the dish they installed, would the picture be any better if i had used a SD receiver instead or should the HD model give me the same SD quality? just curious

also you had mentioned turing off the power supply to the OTA antenna ...any idea where i would find this power supply ? i don't recall seeing one for it

Thanks again for all your help!

1) No dome can receive DirecTV HD programming. Have them remove the dome and install a Winegard Trav'ler. Problem 1 resolved.
2) All of your TV's will be able to receive whatever programming is available via the campgrounds cable connection but you must turn off the power supply to the OTA TV antenna to receive the cable programming AND you must reset each TV to the appropriate Cable setting and not Antenna. If the campgrounds cable signal is terrible (or still analog) your TV picture will be terrible as well.
3) Dish (Network) HD programming is available using your dome antenna but there is no addition or modification that will allow the reception of DirecTV HD.
4) DirecTV SD is pretty dang good and all of the programming comes from only one satellite instead of the 3 required to receive all of the Dish programming.
I am sure I missed answering a question so just ask me (us) again.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Like I said NO!
To get HD programing you need either a dish mounted on a tripod or a Trav'ler automatic roof top dish.
To get a signal for the other two TV's you need to wire a splitter and coax from the receivers output or use a Directv genie and two clients.
I think you seriously got the wrong antenna to start with. Then you apparently got the wrong receiver to begin with. Time to go back to square one and totally start over. Get the right antenna then get the right receiver for what you want to do
