Personal self recording camera?
Any recommendations on personal cameras that one can attach to themselves similar to those that police officers wear? Comments on outlets where to purchase?

- Another vote for using your cell phone. Buy cloud storage and it’s easy to save forever as well as protected from accidental deletion.
- We use GoPro cameras a lot in aviation. Very simple, extremely robust, fantastic vibration suppression and really great videos.
There’s a BUNCH of various mounts and harnesses available very reasonably.

- Is there a reason you are looking for a police type bodycam such as Axon? These are specifically designed to maintain evidence chain. They have a limited recording angle that mimics a person's field of view. A GoPro type of actioncam would have a much wider recording angle, which would also offer a more stable moving image.
I believe Axon bodycams constantly record the first 30 seconds. When the record button is pressed, it adds the previous 30 seconds to the new recorded footage. Again, these are designed for evidence purposes.
Unless you need it specifically for legal reasons, a GoPro type of actioncam would be more useful. Though Axon bodycams uploads footage to evidence.com, approved video evidence storage by courts.
