Trouble setting up SWM dish

OK, problem is i'm not getting a satellite signal to the receiver even though i've got good signal strength numbers on the TV display for the 101, 103, and 99 satellites. I don't understand why the signal strengths look adequate (we've gotten reception with similar #'s) on the TV display but no satellite signal is seen by the receiver.
In case i wasn't on the right satellite i tried panning the dish back and forth at least 10 degrees in each direction with no other signal strengths detected.
We're currently in South Fork, Co. and the #'s for the dish setup per DirecTV zip code lookup are 162 deg. Azimuth, 46 degrees elev. and 7.5 deg tilt. My dish is positioned to where these #'s are and the tripod is plumb so it seems to me i am on the right satellite/s, but no signal/s to the receiver.
Any suggestions on what i could try?? I've been messing with this for a couple of days now & i've run out of ideas.

Also, i've looked at other dishes here in the RV park and my dish seems to be pointing in generally the same direction & elevation as theirs so i'm thinking i'm on the right satellite/s but am off just a little from where i need to be. Just not sure where to go from here.

thanx, Mike

I had trouble with my receiver keep changing from the Slimline 3 SWM dish to the plain Slimline 3. Had to reset it to the SWM dish and let it go through the whole setup. I found that it worked better and acknowledged my SWM dish better with the power inserter hooked up before any receiver and splitter.

great minds think alike!!!! I was just gonna post that we did that and the receiver now sees the sats and we've got HD reception. Life is good again.

here are the signal strength #'s i'm seeing:

sat 101: 83-97
sat 99c: 64-77
sat 103ca: 62-79
sat 103cb: 63-75

with sat 101 #'s i would expect to at least receive a satellite signal for standard definition based on prior experience, but i'm not receiving any satellite signal as far as the receiver goes. The date/time in the upper right corner of the screen isn't updating at all.

Could you clarify please? You say you have good numbers on the TV but not on the receiver. You should only be looking at the numbers from your receiver on the TV so I don't know where the 2 sets of numbers are coming from.
Do you have the receiver set to match your antenna type in the Repeat Satellite Setup routine? While in there, are you seeing numbers when you go to Signal Strength and then Signal Meter? What power inserter are you using and where is it located? Are you using a SWM splitter? What receiver model? Any other info?

sorry for the confusion. When i said i had good #'s on the TV i'm talking about the signal strengths that are displayed on the TV when in the satellite setup menu. These #'s come from the receiver i assume. For example, in the sat setup menu there is a display for sat 101 that shows the signal strengths for all 32 transponders. These signal strengths are the #'s i'm referring to (as well as the signal strengths for sats 103 and 99).

The receiver is set to match my dish type. It's the same as the dish i have at home and i've used this setup when camping before with it set up as it is now.

The power inserter is the same as i have at home and is properly connected to the receiver and is sitting right next to the receiver. There is no splitter being used. i've used the same cabling, connections, equipment, etc. that i have used before successfully.

Don't get that either. There's only one set of numbers, and it comes from the receiver to the tv.

SWM is DirecTV. Check Switch is Dish Network.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
