A water hose (s) suggestion for newbies

It took me many years of RV'ng before finally learning that shorter is better.
I gave up my fifty foot long stiff garden hoses and went to four 25 footers, and got the El Cheopo white ones in the RV section of Wally World.
I no longer curse when I am half way through coiling the 50 footer and it falls out if it's coils. The shorter ones are much easier and also more pliable. Also easier to store.
You might not use four or even three, but I do many times and I like to have the fourth just for a spare.

This is strictly a suggestion, and you can take it or forget it.

    We carry a couple sets of white hoses although I'm not sure about their exact lengths. It's been rare that we've needed to string both together to reach water spigot but should the need arise we're good to go. We carry our water from home as we have run into poor quality water at some campgrounds, many times we don't even haul out our white hoses during the entire camping trip.

    We use the white hoses made for drinking water, I guess they have blue ones know as well. We carry 1 - 25 foot and 1 - 10 footer and to date have had plenty of hose. It is nice when we only need the 10 footer.

    I think we carry three 25 footers and one has never been unwrapped.

    Yes on the 25' and for more length I carry up to six 50' collapsible or flat hoses for even more compact storage.

    Same thing with sewer hoses.......several that collapse down to 3' and expand out to 15'

    I carry 1 50' and 2 25' hoses and don't think I have ever used more than 1 25 footer.

    I carry two 25 foot white hoses, if I need longer ones I hook 'em together.

    I also have some short hoses (like 5-6 feet) and can use them when needed.

    ONE of my 20's has a rope light taped to it.. That is my "Winter hose" plug in the light string via a Thermo-Cube (Thermostatic controlled outlet adapter) and when the mercury goes down the hose lights up.. looks nice and does not freeze.

    Hi,

    I carry 1 10 foot, and 3 25 foot. I also have a 50 foot "wind up" fabric hose. Ideally I would go to 1 10 foot, 1 25 foot, one 50 foot and one 75 foot.

    I carry a 25 foot black hose for flushing the waste tanks.

    I changed the sink in the commode to a garden hose thread, and when there is no flush water I'll use my on board hot water to flush the waste tanks.

    It's a good way to find out how much "time" you have for water use. My pump operates for nearly 30 minutes on a full tank of fresh water.

    I have the pocket hose at 25 ft length and my first one leaked at the valve but the replacement works well. $19.95+tax and takes up very little room, and its incrediblly flexible.

    I carry 2 25' with one cut into a 10' and 15' section and find either the 10' or 15' to be just right for 90% of the CGs we stay at. I think I've had to use more than 25' maybe once or twice in the last 5 years.
