- goducks10ExplorerI like to have someone else pump my gas. Less to deal with.
Oregon is situated between to pump your own states. Cal and Wa.
Average prices for reg and diesel as of today are as follows.
Or Reg 2.26-Diesel 2.72
Wa Reg 2.24-Diesel 2.82
Ca Reg 2.65-Diesel 3.04 - AlmostAnOldGuyExplorer

Be nice. I pumped gas for awhile to earn a few bucks.
Yes, it is the law here, but if you are friendly about it they will frequently let you pump your own. Just be low key about it. I always filled my boat or motorcycle and my truck on occasion. For the most part I am fine letting someone else do it.
I think we are all glad to see these lower prices for gas and diesel. Wish I had more time on my hands so I could head to Jasper.
Stu - musicman54Exploreri wont pump my own unless i am out of state it is why we pay high pricess so let them do it. like going to the grocry store and check my self out not on your life . i do the work and pay same as everyone else hell no
- AllworthExplorer II"Liberal State"?? Sounds to me like some Business friendly conservative Republicans are trying to help stations keep labor costs down by hiring fewer gas-pumpers!
- nwtravelerExplorerA few years ago, I downloaded the actual law concerning the pumping of fuel in Oregon, and what I found is that the law specifically says "gas", it says nothing about diesel. I have filled up a few times in Oregon and when the attendant came out, I told him/her I have a diesel and I am going to pump it myself and all I ever got from them was "no problem".
The law does not mention diesel at all, and that is because of all the truckers that pump their own fuel at truck stops. If I ever had a problem at the diesel pump at a station where they insisted on pumping my fuel, I would tell them, "sorry, I am not going to get fuel here then, I am going to go to the truck stop where I can pump it myself." - musicman54Explorer

Does that hold true at Truck Stops too? I remember pumping my own fuel in the truck lanes, and all the truckers were doing the same. - GoPackGoExplorerI'm in the Phoenix area - $2.25
