My husband went to Lowes to get a couple more camper keys made. Couldn't be done. Is there any place special you go to get an extra set of keys?

If it is a Fastec lock you can order online and have them mailed for $3.50 each. The number is stamped on the key.

Locksmiths are not usually that expensive if you have the key to duplicate from. Ours was $3.50. Also not an RV but it cost me $10 for a lock with no key or number. Lowes etc. just keep common key blanks.

I have had limited success with Gilory's hardware, the only "Store" not a locksmith that carries Tri-mark keys

And I have had total success with genuine locksmiths.. last key I had made was in the parking lot of an ACE hardware.. Fred was the name of the locksmith, he had the one key Gilroy's did not have.

The bigger the locksmith, the better the selection.

If you happen to be in S.E. Michigan, Detroit also has a Fred's locksmith (Different Fred) largest selection of keys I have ever seen
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

I got spares for my Sportsmen from the Sportsmen dealer. I called him with the number on the key and he provided 2 more free of charge.

And of course the 751's are everywhere.

Its a crapshoot getting a good one from a hardware store. The locksmith will have blanks for most any lock and the chances of it working is very high as this is all they do. JMO

Husband said the problem was Lowes, nor a locally owned store, had a blank. We have a 2004 R-Vision Trail Lite.

Thanks for the tips - greatly appreciated!

Remove the lock and look on rear of lock assembly for a number.

Bring this number to RV deal and with exact make / model, they will order a new (spare) key for you.

If wondering, I ordered a spare key for my Jayco and think local RV dealer charged me $5.00

Much less cost / hassle than a locksmith.

Hope this helps.

In 2004 no one had TriMark blanks. Ordered them online and a locksmith made the keys.

So go to a locksmith. Sure they might charge you a $1 more but you'll walk out with the duplicates.

you might have to go to an actual locksmith. Or the RV dealer. I would bet you can take the number off the key and go to Amazon or ebay also.
