Just do one big reply with 'thank you' and everyone will see it! :) No one expects a private reply.

Before fixing the rain damage, make sure you fix the entry point. That can sometimes be hard to trace. Good luck!

  • I also have the carpet ceiling and if you use a spray bottle with bleach mixed with water then spray the cloth and not the ceiling and then rub the ceiling gently. You might have to do the spots more than once but dry in between. It does work.

  • Be careful not to saturate the ceiling as the adhesive should not get too wet or it may let loose. I have also heard that oxyclean can be used, but have not tried it. We also have the carpeted ceiling.
  • Yep we have like a carpet finish on our ceiling as well = not that uncommon in many RV's we've been in. Not sure if it was for sound barrier reasons or extra insulation (heat rises) or a combination of both. Bleach (used with care, slowly and patience) is the best option. We had same from a crack in corner of our skylight where screw was.

Carpet on the ceiling? Really? :?
Yeah, well sorta like carpet. Mine is a fuzzy white fabric. Bleach spray works for light stains from this stupid leaky skylight.
  • If there is no physical damage only stain, a spray bottle with a light percent of bleach sprayed on the area will remove stain. But, you need to place cover under the area to catch any drips or it will discolor what it hits. You may need to do this a couple of time. Be patience and let the bleach work.

  • Probley damage ceiling panels if you attempted to pull it off. Especially if there is water damage. Carpeted ceilings are rare for this reason among others. Can you try cleaning with carpet cleaner?
