air compressor advice needed

oil less or oil? either one would work well for you I have both one from menards a coleman and a job smart from tractor supply. one oil free the other oil use them both for the same things blowing out camper lines fixing tires filling inflatables at the lake they both run long periods when getting used and have held up well for several years. I have a harbor freight one that was 39$ we leave for blowing up inner tubes that one is a little on the slow side but does the job! check the cfm that will tell you which one fills faster.

I think for maintenance purposes I will stick with the oil less.

If you have a rv with air brakes, you can plumb into the air system, with an air chuck fitting.

If your tires are over 100PSI rated.. The higher the pressure the faster you can inflate or top off the tires.

Also, you will need (With either) a regulator for your air tools, the higher the pressure (With the same size tank)the longer you can hammer with an air wrench, hammer or chisel the longer you can spray the longer you can ______ before you run out of air.

You will not run many air tools with that compressor.Air tools will suck it down very quick

I know you're looking for a bigger capacity, but this one works pretty good here. Can't beat the price and it got pretty good reviews. I got one last week and it sure airs up my suspension and 110lb PSI tires.

I've had the Porter Cable 150psi / 6 gallon unit for over a year now. Solid little compressor. I use it for tires and blowing water lines between each trip in the winter. For an RV, serves the purpose. As others have mentioned, to run air tools, especially paint sprayers, you will need something with higher CFM, but those quickly become less portable for the RV.

You may also need a water seperator for running tools.

Thanks Tom that is exactly the advice I was seeking primarily I will be using it for the TT and TV anything has got to be better than the little 12Volt inflator I am using now.

That is a good little compressor. Good for airing up tires and some air tools, like pneumatic nailers or staplers. Impact wrench, impact hammer, sand blaster, cutoff tool will drain it in less than a minute. If you want to run any of those type tools you'll need a bigger compressor, one with more CFM, not necessarily more pressure. A 200 lb compressor is useless if it runs out of pressure in a few seconds. Don't confuse max pressure with CFM.

Again, it's a nice compressor, portable and will do the job if you're not running tools that need a lot of air flow.
