Does the hydraulic slide out also powered by my deep cycle batteries?

My hydraulic slide out started to fail and makes this rattle sound , the same rattle or rapid click sound on a car when you ignition it on with failed batteries

I filled it already w/ ATF fluid. Sometimes the slide out starts to work but stops suddenly.

Every rig is different, but on MY rig, the slideout is powered by the chassis battery, and the owner's manual says to have the engine running when moving the slideout in or out.

Generally the house systems (Slidouts are) run off the house batteries.. Make sure they are charged and plug in BEFORE you try to move the slides. Good luck.

Oh, and a reminder. I said GENERALLY.. I assume someone wired at least one different.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

A few hrs later, the fuse also blew on the 2nd TV.

Will provbably spend for an electrician to find out once and for all. Dangit.

The problem is with the fuse of the tow vehicle. i tried another tow vehicle and the slide out and even the electric tongue jack which i also have a problem with also worked.

It sounds like you have weak batteries. The sound of the repetitive "clicking" is probably a relay opening and closing. If you're plugged into shore power and have a working converter, the converter is supplying charge voltage to the batteries and hence, supplying power for the slide mechanism.
The shore power didnt help. hope my converter is ok.
A hand held meter is $5 at Harbor Freight or $20 at Home Depot. Every RV owner should have one.
I have one, battery is dead, it only has about 0.002 V.

Try it with the engine running.

Pretty much what I would expect to happen if your battery is weak; as Chris mentioned the converter would likely not generate enough if the battery is not up to parr.

Before much else, I would put a meter on the battery to see how it is.

You need a good battery charge or connection to make them work well even when being run from the shore power.

I will try the jump cables. That being said, the 7 pin connector doesn't help.

Many, if not most, hydraulic pumps are connected directly to the battery as moat converters can not provide enough power directly especially if you have large slides. It is easy enough to check just hook jumper cables from another vehicle or a portable battery pack and see if it works.

We have that rapid clicking sound too but it's not the battery. For our slide, that clicking sound happens when the slide has reached the end of the movement and the power button is still activated. That sound tells us that the slide movement is complete.

Many, if not most slides require a good battery- they draw more than the converter can put out.
