BLACK A/C SHROUD

I think black is the newer fashionable color for the last couple of years. Give them a few years and they'll be back to white or some other color. It's sort of like hem lines or appliance colors.

Can't wait for them to come out in Harvest Gold or Avocado. Then you'd be talking fashionable.

If you look at some RVs with full paint you will see that black would look better than white. You can't see the roof but you can see the air conditioner. When being built, some are even painted a color to blend with the full paint - brown, dark green, etc.

But black holds heat, does not help cooling.

Black shrouds seems to be a better match for my 'camouflaged' Voltage.

Helps the heat pump in winter. :)
White would be outa place on ours.

You got it, from the factory my A/Cs matched my Body,, Today one of them still does, other is White (matching roof) If I ever have to repaint,,, I may have them fix that.

Nobody answered the "black and cooling" question yet. Does black shrouds effect cooling?? Don't know ?

I seriously doubt it and if it did you would not know it by standing in the RV. Black looks better on my roof with my TT's paint scheme so I painted both AC's black, 2 Max AirII's black, the vent caps black and the skylight for the shower black. Looks great. I'm over the white look.

I'm sure any adverse effect would be very minimal. The fan pushes air through the condenser, it doesn't just sit there.
