For me 4 down is a way to go. Bought a new 2014 Honda CR-V EXL and got it it ready to go. Would like to hear from some one that has a Honda CR-V and useing a Patroit Brake System.Towed a Saturn aura for 7 years

Be aware that the 2015 Honda CRV cannot be towed 4 on the ground! We have a 2011 Ford Fiesta, standard transmission vehicle. Our car dealer called it "the car with the Amish Package! LOL Its so simple to use as a toad we don't have to do anything except put the standard transmission in neutral, attach the extra braking system, and, of course, attach the car to the RV. Takes less than 5 minutes total! Just as simple to unhook. The key doesn't even have to be in the ignition!!! We had a tow dolly for our other car - used it twice and decided it was just too much hassle. Love it as a "do the errands around town" car as well. We get over 35mpg when driving it around town and have taken it on longer trips enjoying as much as 42mpg. Just have to be able to drive a car without automatic transmission!!

Suzuki Gran Vitara with a manual transfer case. Makes a great all weather commuter and toad, inexpensive to buy and maintain if you can find one.

Which car(s) can be towed 4 down with just the basic equipment (base plate, tow bar, etc.), don't really want to add transmission lube, disconnect drive shaft, etc.

you've described a jeep. most any jeep with a manually selectable neutral position in the transfer case can be flat towed. no mods needed. and even better and unlike other mfg's there are no time/speed/distance restrictions.

We bought 2013 Hyundai Elantra, just takes a towbar setup (roadmaster) added a brake system and a light kit Car weights about 2700lbs has good wide track for stability. Have towed 4500+ miles with no issues once we added a charge wire!

It is a 6 speed manual, 150 HP 4 cyl. Forgot to add, just hook up and leave key in on, not start position is all that is required. no distance to stop start etc.
