Daily Visitor fees
Just looking for your thoughts on private Campgrounds that charge a Daily Visitor fee. I know they can do and charge whatever they want but as campers, what do you think of this? We rarely have outside visitors coming to our camp site but it got me to thinking that if we were to travel to visit friends or family and took our camper and stayed at a campground near where they lived, I imagine they wouldn't be too thrilled about having to pay a $5 fee per person just to stop by our camp site to say hello or have lunch with us. I get it if they were to spend the night but I'm probably not choosing that campground to stay at if my 89 year old Father-In-Law wanted to stop by to see his Daughter and our 5th wheel and had to pay $5 to do that. It just seems like a money grab to me. I know one argument will be that you can't let 25 people come take over a camp site because you invite them and charging money prevents that from happening but I don't think the answer is to charge $5 a head either. What say you?
