Ford Focus

Is anyone towing a Focus front wheel drive, manual transmission? I have been towing a manual transmission rear drive Focus for 10 years and really like but time to upgrade.
  • In laws had a 2016 Focus auto and had it set up for 4 wheels down towing. Had issues with it. I want to say it was stalling out when driving it. Not sure if it had anything to do with the set up, but they got rid of it.

We have a 2016 Focus 5 speed...we haven't towed it, but have had no stalling issues.

Its OK! The is a common sight around Portland every winter haha

  • New focus manual transmissions can be flat towed just by putting in Neutral. That's it. Don't even need to leave the key in.

You might want to look under the back of the car for the differential and rear driveshaft that aren't there. The Focus has always been front wheel drive.
