Freedom RV in Tucson!?

Any feedback on experience with this Dealership?
  • We had a very positive experience with La Mesa RV in Tucson when we bought our 2012 Nexus last summer. I won't say "no pressure sales" but it was nothing we couldn't deal with and we drove off with what I still consider to be a great deal. Their service department is awesome and they repaired the water heater after CW misdiagnosed the problem. :C
  • We took a friend to Freedom last year who has very limited income. The sales team worked very hard for hours to try and find him an RV. They were friendly and appeared to have good knowledge of their products.

Even though they had some units which would meet his budget, they would not make a deal with him because his TV was not up to the job for the units he could afford. I was very impressed that they would rather skip on a deal than compromise safety. I purchased my current FW (waiting on delivery) in February from Lazy Days RV because they carry the Grand Design product line which Freedom doesn't. I had a good experience at Lazy Days too.
  • Comparing Freedom Rv to their Tucson competition (Lazydays, Camping World and La Mesa), I'd say they are the worst. Their lot is fenced and the gates and RV's are kept locked. To get to the rv's you must enter through the sales area where you are hounded as soon as you walk in the door. Then a salesman attaches himself to you and starts with the 20 questions about you and your rv.

We finally stopped going there as we didn't like dealing with their pushy sales staff. They don't let you concentrate on what you're looking at and they certainly don't have any answers to your questions. It's no wonder they are the smallest dealer.

The other dealers don't require you to walk through the sales office and the rv's are unlocked. They will come by to check on your progress but you are free to wander the lot and look in peace.

Freedom also has the smallest service area and it's out doors, unlike Lazydays and La Mesa with huge indoor service bays.

End of the story - we nix'd the Tucson dealers and bought our Voltage in Phoenix, which was a very nice experience.
  • RVcrazy, I did a search for the dealership you asked about and found many remarks on the dealer you have questioned. Others will share with you but this might give you a head start. Just type in the dealership name in the search box and click on go. Hope this helps. :)
