How do you Buy your Dicor

per the caulking tube, or by the gallon?

i'd like to have some on hand, but for my current application i feel that a caulking tube will be to cumbersome, as a gallon, i could just dip a finger.

they are relatively proud of this stuff i see, is a gallon can going to dry out on me?
  • And it's going to be a 50-50 that the tube you get will already be dried out. I can't count the number of times over the last 25 years, I've bought this stuff and half the time when I go to cut the end off a new tube it's already semi-hard. And it doesn't seem to make any difference what vendor I've gotten it from. Save your reciept !
  • ok, good to know. almost bought the stuff until i saw the price.
thanks for saving me a mistake.
  • Dicor lap seal is not sold by the gallon- only tubes. OEMs can buy it in 5 and 55 gallon drums, however.
The Dicor products that are sold by the gallon are coatings, not lap seal.
