How to get the remaining water out of the ice maker ??

We are wondering just how you remove the remaining water from the automatic ice maker in the RV's refrigerator when your RV has returned to your home base for a rest ? We checked the book & nothing...

If you turn off the ice maker then the water valve won't open when it dumps the existing batch of ice - then the only water that will be in the tray is condensation.

It's always a good idea to dump the first batch or two of ice anyway to eliminate anything that might have been in the lines.
