That's because GA fans can relate to Mizzou fans...that is... they can win the division but not the conference. Low blow? Nah, all in fun! As a lifelong Gator fan, any opportunity to talk trash about GA cannot be wasted! Having attended many GA-FL cocktail parties, I think their fans easily win the title as being the most obnoxious!

I hear you guys on the paranoia but with $2,000 invested I think it's okay to be cautious. I would agree that in most camping venues the risk is slight. I am using these on campus with a lot of drunk coeds in the vicinity. I seriously doubt I would ever have a problem, but being an old Boy Scout I prefer to be prepared. The other issue is the lot is a distance from the stadium and during game time pretty empty. I didn't want to smell up my fiver by putting them inside during the game thus my question regarding hiding them or at least concealing them a bit. Thanks again for all the replies!

For me, though, it would depend on the tailgate location. Do you tailgate on campus, next to the stadium? Maybe in a parking lot that has an attendant? Or are you over near student apartments or some other sketchy place? Also depends on the team you're playing...some SEC teams like GA or LSU come with a contingent of pure idiots. They'll steal your generator while they're in a drunken stuper then realize they don't have anywhere to put it, so they'll just throw it in the bushes. WHOOOAAA...back on topic. Since they're so small and light-weight, why not just put them on the ground beneath your camper and lean a board or tarp next to it? Still keep them cable locked. Of all my years tailgating, I've never seen anyone walking around with a saw or bolt cutters.

My two cents: I'd go for a LowPro Lockdown Bracket and attach that to a very sturdy surface. Those are a lot harder to remove than even the handle reinforcement brackets.

The ideal would be to have a metal fab shop make an enclosed box with proper airflow, and to use the LowPro brackets as well. Generators are prized items, so might as well make sure they don't disappear.

Just so you know.....there is an aftermarket handle that bolts on over the handle on the Honda 2000. It locks on and prevent anyone from hacksawing through the plastic handle. Once the Honda is running, even though they're quiet, people are going to know they're there.

When not in use, you might make something inconspicuous to cover them.

I appreciate the truck comments as well but after dropping the Fiver at my tailgate spot my truck leaves the area to switch with a minivan to transport more people to my tailgate and fit within the tailgate dimensions.

You guys made me think of a wacky idea as well. I thought about an old wire dog kennel I have. Put the generators in it and cable lock it shut, as well as lcked to the fiver just to make it a little harder to drag 2 Hondas away...??

Why not the back of the truck and not worry about the box? Chain them up in there??
