New Trailer - Now time for a WDH

Yesterday we signed the papers for a '15 Shasta Oasis 25BH. Some of my particulars:

Trailer: 530lbs dry hitch weight, 4300lbs UVW
TV: 2003 Toyota Sequoia w/a 6200 tow capacity

I told the dealer I'd supply the WDH and they'd install it when the trailer is shipped in a couple of months. Having trailers that have been 1600 and 2500lbs, I've never had need for a WDH until now. I don't have the $$ for a Hensley, so I'm basically looking for thoughts on what's a good fit based on my combination. One thing I want to make sure I get one where it's not necessary to remove the sway control to back up! Other than that, I'm open to suggestions. Many thanks!

Equal-i-zer user here, works great. Have also had the EZ Lift with single friction control, and that was OK.

x2...preferred my dual friction bars and my standard weight distribution hitch to dual cam.

Do Not buy your hitch yet. You are quoting brochure weights. The cargo capacity is yet to be determined.
Unless you can get the factory to read you the actual label that is going on that trailer you have no useful Data.
530 lb is an empty trailer,does it include battery or tanks? How about the awning, how about the oven or television or anything else the you specced not on a bare stock base model.
If you do not have actual label values, you should make your decision based on the GVW Gross Vehicle weight limit.

I prefer the bolt around the frame style (clamp on). The clamp on style prevents you from having to drill into the tongue/frame. Also, when you sell your TT, you have the option of keeping your Blue Ox and the clamps can be removed without leaving exposed holes in the tongue.

As far as which size bars to go with, I would recommend calling Blue Ox at 1-800-228-9289 and have all of your TT specs and info available for them to determine what you need. I have dealt with them and they are very informative and helpful.

Thanks or the Blue Ox suggestions. I've been eyeballing those on etrailer.com. Couple of more questions: Is the clamp on or bolt on type better? In regards to the hitch, what TW rating should I go with based on the TW of the trailer, which is 530lbs? Etrailer has carries Blue Ox for $599, but I haven't checked on Amazon to see if they carry them cheaper.

Equal-i-zer. Have had both a Reese (the chain link type, with a removable sway bar) and the Equal-i-zer. Having had the Reese for over 10 years, the Equal-i-zer was an attitude adjustment for me. But now, after a year and a half, I don't think I'd ever go back to the old system. No sway bar to put on and off. Hitching up takes no longer now, and the Equal-i-zer is now "old hat" too. Quite comfortable with it now.

EZ2 Equal-li-zer weight distribution hitch, and Reese break controller. I have had this set-up a while and its awesome in rain, wind, hills, mountains, parking, backing up, I camp in rugged places and it is still good to go. It was expensive, but the safety of my family over ruled the cost.
