- gotsmartExplorerThere is a guy who comes to the RV park where I'm at in Sequim who charges $100 per RV. If you purchase your own UV protectant or other product, he will also apply it for an additional fee. He is methodical and takes 6+ hours to clean the roof and wash/wax the RV. He washes the roof on his hands and knees with micofiber towels to clean it by hand.
I had him wash my Class C last year. It looked wonderful after he finished.
If you're going to be on the North Olympic Peninsula, say between Port Townsend and Port Angeles and want his number, PM me and I'll be happy to provide his business contact information to you. - IDoMyOwnStuntsExplorer

Interesting. I didn't know about that. Can you pull a trailer through it? - donkeydewExplorerif you are coming to portland washman has a large vehicle wash at se grand and stark it will take a 40 footer and does a super job.

I thought that we should use some kind of conditioner once a year on a rubber roof. So I don't have to do that? That'd be great.
Anyway, if I buy an electric pressure washer it's around US$150. If one wash is US$85 it should pay for itself, right?
Rubber roof: Maybe but the wrong stuff could be worse than nothing. Find out who MAKES the roof and ask them; then take their advice.
Pressure washer:
Just pressure alone won't really do a good job. And too much pressure on the wrong places can break seals and cause damage. The truck washes use mostly brushes and STRONG soap solution that you can't usually find. Of course an electric pressure washer is useful for other things too. - n7bsnExplorerI wax the entire rig once a year, I put three coats on the front, it makes removing bug guts easier
- chracatoaExplorerNot planning on washing the roof with it, just the sides. Do I need to wax it? I was just planning to wash it :)

No way I would pressure wash a rubber roof - wouldn't buy a rig from someone who did.
agree, pressure washing a rubber roof is not a good idea.
it's a good way to start a leak. - ksg5000ExplorerMy rubber roof is from 1990 and has never been pressured washed or "conditioned" - I regularly wash the rig/roof using inexpensive zip wax. Serious stains I will remove with an old sock containing a bar of lava soap. The point I am trying to make is that "waterproof" is better than "looking good". No way I would pressure was a rubber roof - wouldn't buy a rig from someone who did.

Edit: Roy&Lynne, thanks for the offer! We're actually going East, sometimes North. - n7bsnExplorer

Search for a semi-truck wash in your area. They usually do RVs too.
I think a "large" goes for about $85 in my area.
And before you pay anybody to "condition" the roof, tell us what kind of roof it has. That sounds like a scam to me.
Or you can DIY at a vehicle wash with a semi-tuck bay (and built in walkway). I use the one in Belfair. But I know there are others in the region
