Heck yeah, go for it. Sounds like a great deal and sets you up for future fun.
Loading wise, just don't go bananas on packing it full. No worry about localized loading on the floor since its in good shape. Especially since you kinda have to spread stuff out on the floor anyways. Can't really stack boxes etc and expect them to stay put like packing a moving van.
Just consider "where" you're putting all the weight. The weight bias of campers is considered with added weight where it "should be". Water tanks, storage areas, cabinets. Not in the floor space. So you don't have too heavy or light tongue weight.

Your floor will probably be fine. Remember to load the heavy things forward of the trailer tires. Also be aware that your brakes are stronger than your accelerator. So make sure that things can't slide forward too much under braking.

If you have not yet purchased the trailer go through it with a fine toothed comb looking in all the corners and cabinets for water staining. Also look for soft spots on the floor and under the carpet. A water leak can be the death of a perfectly good looking RV.

Appears you’re moving cross country if it’s a 3-4 day drive. That drive will be a lot quicker and “shorter” running bobtail.

I understand where you're coming from. The TT isn't going to be used only for the trip, it'll also be for pleasure as well. Where we're moving to, members of my family are members of a private hunting/fishing club. They don't allow tent camping, but due to the limited membership- there are connections for every member to hook up an RV or travel trailer. And being family, we can be grandfathered in (already been approved.) And with my fishing fetish and my better halfs enjoyment of outdoor photography, we will most likely be spending a few weekends a month out there. And with my neighbor offering a good deal on the trailer (about 8k under used price at rv dealership) I'm extremely tempted to grab it as it appears in extremely good condition and he's modified it for generators and maintained it. His new toy is an extremely large 5th wheel.

As to the move, most of the stuff is going by movers. Only things we'll be taking is my tool box (I learned long ago that when you move, always keep your toolbox onhand and not packed) and enough clothes for the time frame till the movers deliver. The books, and other items, are still optional at this point due to not having the pods yet to load up. Depending on the floor space in the pods, I may have to carry a small propane grill as well, but going to avoid it if possible.

According to the receipts, the bearings were checked and brakes replaces in Mar 2019. The tires are a little bit older, they were replaced in july 2019 due to one tire going flat and my neighbor replaced all 4. He's had the trailer since early 2014. He also had a panel for a generator installed which he offered to include with the trailer for a little extra (he uses it for an emergency house generator now.)

I made a mistake and had made an assumption, probably due to my glance at the model number while looking at the manufacturer. For that, I apologize. The model is a 2014 Palomino Puma Unleashed 25-RBSS and is 29' and not 25 like I assumed. Going by the advice from another post, I may have an issue as it has a maximum weight of 10k lbs, but normal dry weight is just under 7k lbs. So that would only leave 1300lbs between the trailer and the suburbans tow weight. So it appears I may be cutting it close especially if loaded with propane and water.

The truck is rated for 8300/3765 towing weight according to the manual and door tag, I don't plan on placing anything in the Suburban except for a day bag, snacks, the wife, and 2 cats that enjoy road trips but stay on the 2nd row seats and glare at me. When I purchased it, the towing package was standard. I didn't see any heavier towing package available for it. As far as I can tell, the total weight (payload maximum?) is 1682/763.

To add, there’s already a lot to think about and do while moving. Not the right time to figure out a TT, set it up, and add a second trailer to your caravan. IMO.
We’ve moved many times, anywhere from 400 to 2500 miles. Even did the RVthing once but that was moving to AK from WA and planned to camp our way up.
It’s too easy to phone the super 8 100 or 200 miles up the road and get a room, roll in pass out, take a hot shower in the morning and hit the road without even making the bed.
