Quick connect faucet question....

2nd time this happened to me (yes I know how to winterize, but this part is cheapo)....I have a quick connect faucet outside in my 5th, and the cheap plastic male portion has cracked....not the big metal quick connect...it is not a fancy faucet by any means...the "main piece" is the connector, and that is fine!! Only way you can but it is is all one piece with a new connector...where can I find just the cheap POS faucet with the male connector to the (now 2) connectors I have?? I don't need the piece that costs any money, just the crappy faucet and I will screw the metal connecter to it.
  • I can't completely picture what you are discribing (pictures would help) but it seems to me that a garden hose with a quick disconnect held in place with a hose clamp on one end and a spray nozzle on the other end, would do the trick.

Have you considered disconnecting the faucet and storing it in a warm environment?
  • Could you replace the faucet with another that has a threaded spout and buy the quick connect that threads onto the faucet? This is what I use at my house and I've cracked a couple by not removing them before Winter.
